Shallot Jam

I know what you’re thinking, “but Hannah, the Klay Thompson just broke Megan’s heart and it can be hard to make sense of this vast cold world when we see a hot girl down!”

My appetite was lost for awhile too, it was pretty hard. But something as extra as shallot jam when I’m making a burger? It’s what Megan would want for us.

INGREDIENTS:

  • shallots
  • butter
  • balsamic vinegar
  • honey

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1: heat your pan to medium low

STEP 2: thinly slice 2-3 shallots. I prefer keeping them as rounds vs minced for texture purposes, but I’m sure the wrong way would taste fine too.

STEP 3: add a tablespoon or two of butter to your pan depending on how much shallot you’re working with

STEP 4: add sliced shallots to pan and cook until softened

STEP 5: lower heat as needed and add a few splashes of balsamic vinegar

STEP 6: drizzle honey into jam. taste and add to your preference

STEP 7: you’ve got shallot jam! you did it.

Put it on a burger, grilled cheese, charcuterie board, trash, wherever you put it she’s the star.
