I could include a picture but, you do know what mashed potatoes are, right? Okay just checking, no judgement here. You clicked a mashed potato recipe afterall… and I made one.
Ingredients:
- 2-3 large russet potatoes
- heavy cream
- butter
- salt
No frills here, that’s up to you. Measure with your heart!
STEP 1: prep large pot of water to boil, salt that water like the ocean and move to next step while building up to the boiling point.
STEP 2: wash potatoes thoroughly.
STEP 3: peel potatoes (if that’s your thing) and give an extra rinse.
STEP 4: cut potatoes in halves or quarters.
STEP 5: with water boiling, add in potatoes.
STEP 6: be patient, reflect, call a friend, just wait.
STEP 7: test potatoes for fork tenderness, they should slide right off.
STEP 8: drain water from pot and add in cream + butter.
STEP 9: mash em! fork, hand mixer, dealer’s choice.
STEP 10: add additional cream + butter to your preference
STEP 11: pair with something tasty!
